inAmber

Begins at Forever. Ends at Never.

We are not quite open yet.

inAmber is in private beta while we look after our first families. If you have an invite code, you are very welcome.

What we are building

The things you meant to say, kept until they land.

Most of what matters goes unsaid, not because we do not feel it but because there is never a right moment. inAmber gives you the moment now, and holds your words until the one they were meant for.

  1. 01

    Say it while you can

Write a letter, record your voice, film yourself, add the photograph you always meant to explain. Whatever carries it best.

  2. 02

    Choose the moment

A date. A birthday. The morning they turn eighteen. Their wedding day, whenever that turns out to be.

  3. 03

    Seal it

Encrypted the moment you finish, and only ever opened by the person you chose. If our database were copied tomorrow, there would be nothing in it to read.

  4. 04

    It arrives without you

On the day, it finds them. If the moment is one you cannot confirm yourself, a Guardian you named releases it for you.

The line we will not cross

We will never pretend to be you.

We could clone your voice. We could generate a video of you saying things you never said. Plenty of companies will. We have decided we never will, and we have written it into how the product is built. Amber can help you find a first line when you are stuck, and will ask you the questions that unlock a memory, but the words that get sealed are yours and only ever yours. What arrives is really you, or it is nothing at all.

What is coming

Where we are, and where we are going.

Written plainly, with no dates we cannot hold. We would rather open slowly and get this right than be quick about something this important.

In the beta now

  • Letters, voice notes and video, encrypted and sealed
  • Delivery on a date, or on the birthday you choose years ahead
  • A trusted Guardian who can release a message if you cannot
  • Amber, a writing companion for when the first line will not come

Coming as we open up

  • Moment Detection, so a graduation or a wedding can trigger delivery itself
  • Time Capsule Chains, where one message unlocks the next
  • The Generational Vault, reaching past your children to people not yet born
  • The Living Legacy Graph, your whole family of messages laid out across time

Further out

  • inAmber inside hospices, hospitals and funeral homes, for families in the hardest week of their lives
  • A place in estate planning, alongside the will rather than instead of it
  • More languages, so nobody has to say the most important thing in their second one
